My daughter moved to the island of Texel last year and my horse got laminitis. This became a big challenge. We would like to go to Texel during the weekends, but my horse is not allowed unlimited hay due to its condition. Giving hay for two days in one go in bins/nets was not an option and I didn't like having to call for help several times a day either.
Luckily I came across Equipona's PowerRaufe on the internet. The perfect solution! I use it for 1 horse and 1 pony. I have the semi-round one with an additional space to stack hay. I fill it on Friday morning and when I return on Sunday afternoon there is still more than enough in it. I let it open for half an hour every hour. That seems like a lot, but once the horses realized that it keeps opening and there is food available 24/7, they started eating much less and regularly skipped meals.
For us the PowerRaufe has really been a golden investment!! Super happy with it.

45 PowerFeeders (2024)
For our project we were looking for a solid and sustainable system to automate the feeding process for 45 stables.
We chose Equipona as our partner. After a short testing period of the PowerFeeder, we quickly decided that this was the solution for us. Together with the underlying software system, we can now very quickly provide the perfect amount of feed per horse over a period of 24 hours, spread over several feeding sessions.
This brings peace and quiet to the horses in the stable, but also saves us a lot of time when feeding them. So a win-win.
