No! You just have to find out what your horse's feeding needs are. This is of course best done in consultation with your veterinarian. Once you know the needs, you can choose the type of food and determine when and how much to feed.
How much food should a horse receive?
That depends on the weight of your horse. But also the work your horse has to do. It goes without saying that a recreational horse needs less concentrate and roughage than a sports horse that has several training sessions per week. Your vet can also advise you on this.
Our systems can perfectly support you in administering the right amount of feed to your horse at the times you choose, day and night. Such constant feeding pattern ensures serenity for your horse and therefore also more tranquil eating moments, which in turn benefits the digestive system. After all, smaller portions are better absorbed by the body and anything a horse eats in excess is just ballast for the digestive organs.
We should especially try to keep horses that are often in the stable busy to prevent boredom. Thanks to optimal health management, behavioral and health problems, eating disorders, etc. can often be prevented.
